Children’s Ministry

Inspiring Children to Know and Follow God

Come join us on Sunday mornings at SAPC!

At Saint Andrews children are welcomed into the full life of the church! Worship is the central act of our faith and children are joyful members of our community. Each Sunday in worship the Kid’s Bulletin is designed to help children follow along and participate in the service, through pictures and text. Just outside the sanctuary doors, we have a wall of fidgets that children can take into worship to keep their busy hands occupied while they listen.

During worship, children serve as acolytes and are welcomed to other leadership roles that include ushering, reading scripture, and sharing their musical gifts. Each Sunday children are invited to come up to the front steps for our Time with Children… a sermon designed just for them! Following this children’s message, children in PreK through 2nd grade are led out of the sanctuary for Hands-On Worship and a volunteer will walk with parents and preschoolers to the nursery. Our oldest children in upper elementary school remain in worship and meet afterwards for Club 3-4-5.

Nursery Care

Nursery Care

Our church nursery is available from 10:15-11:45am to care for children from birth until they enter PreK (PreK being the year before they will attend Kindergarten).  Our consistent nursery staff and their volunteer team welcome and care for our littlest children each Sunday so parents and caregivers can fully engage and participate in worship.  Each week the oldest children in nursery care, ages 2-4, join together for a short bible story and play activity.

Hands-On Worship

Hands-On Worship

Following the Time with Children, PreK through 2nd graders are invited to leave the sanctuary for Hands-On Worship. Led by Meg Cline, our Young Children’s Ministry Director, and a team of volunteers, Hands-On Woship is an interactive time of faith formation that includes a worship litany, Bible stories, songs, play activities, and crafts to learn about WHO we worship and HOW we worship!

Club 3-4-5

Club 3-4-5

Club 3-4-5 meets downstairs following worship for lunch, games, and bible study until 1pm.  Led by Danielle Cebrick, our Older Children’s Ministry Intern, and a team of volunteers, Club is a time for our older elementary kids, grades 3-5, to build community and engage in faith formation.

Special Events

Special Events

Saint Andrews is excited to offer special events for children and their families throughout the year!  There are service projects with local organizations like Brown Bag Ministry and Refugee Hope Partners, a number of Christmas celebrations, a Parent’s Night Out, a Mardi Gras Pancake Party, egg hunts at Easter, and more!  Our annual Vacation Bible School each August is a highlight of the year!

There is place for everyone at SAPC!
