Inclement Weather Policy
Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church seeks to hold worship every week; however, harsh weather sometimes makes that difficult. In instances of inclement weather such as snow, ice or hurricanes, church leadership will determine the practicality of holding services.
Changes in the worship scheduled will be reflected on WRAL and WTVD weather tickers and posted to our social media pages. Most importantly, if you do not have power or have ice in your driveway, assume the same issues are affecting the church and stay safe at home.
A worship experience will be posted on our YouTube page at 10:30 am for you to view from the comfort of home.
If the church is closed due to weather, all church activities and events are cancelled.
Christian worship joyfully ascribes all praise and honor, glory and power to the triune God. In worship, the people of God acknowledge God’s presence in the world and in their lives. As they respond to God’s claim and redemptive action in Jesus Christ, believers are transformed and renewed. In worship, the faithful offer themselves to God and are equipped for God’s service in the world.
At Saint Andrews, there are worship opportunities for every generation.
Traditional Worship
Our 10:30 am Traditional Worship Service offers a meaningful time of praise and reflection, rooted in the Presbyterian tradition. With scripture, prayer, hymns, and preaching, we come together to honor God and grow in faith. Music is central to our worship, led by organ and choir, lifting our voices in praise and inspiring us through sacred song. We invite you to join us and experience the joy of worshiping God together.
R.I.S.E.
Are you seeking an uplifting and modern worship experience? Join us for R.I.S.E., a contemporary church service at Saint Andrews, every 3rd Sunday at 8:45 am. Get ready to experience a Reformed, Informal, Spiritual and Experiential journey where we will RISE together in faith. Whether you are a long-time church-goer or searching for a fresh spiritual experience, R.I.S.E. is the perfect way to start your Sunday mornings.
Sacraments We Observe
Our sacraments are outward signs instituted by God to convey an inward or spiritual grace.
Baptism
Baptism is the sign and seal of God’s covenantal love. It is a statement of God’s claim on us, and shows our attention to live as God’s own.
“Baptism is the bond of unity in Jesus Christ. When we are baptized, we are made one with Christ, with one another, and with the Church of every time and place. In Christ, barriers of race, status, and gender are overcome; we are called to seek reconciliation in the Church and world, in Jesus’ name.”

Lord’s Supper
Everyone is welcome to partake in the Lord’s Supper.
“The Lord’s Supper enacts and seals what the Word proclaims: God’s sustaining grace offered to all people. The Lord’s Supper is at once God’s gift of grace, God’s means of grace, and God’s call to respond to that grace. Through the Lord’s Supper, Jesus Christ nourishes us in righteousness, faithfulness, and discipleship. Through the Lord’s Supper, the Holy Spirit renews the Church in its identity and sends the Church to mission in the world.”
