Children’s Ministry Lead
Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church in Raleigh is seeking a leader for our children’s ministries. This part-time position is adaptable to the skills and needs of the right candidate, with the option of being structured from a 12 hour/week position to a 30 hour/week position, with salary ranging from 12,000 to 30,000 annually.
At Saint Andrews we seek to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all children, teaching them to know God, love God and live as disciples of Jesus Christ. To accomplish this vision, our ministry responsibilities for our new director include four areas. Responsibilities for these four areas are dependent upon the hourly commitment of the director and thus listed in order of priority.
- Sunday Morning Worship Engagement – Providing both a children’s “message” during our worship service and then leading the kids, after that message, to a separate space for a “Hands-On-Worship” experience which engages the worship theme of the day.
- Special Events – Developing and implementing seasonal events (Christmas, Easter Egg Hunts, a summer Vacation Bible School, etc) for children.
- Education Engagements – Planning for seasonal Sunday School (roughly 10 weeks in the fall, 12 weeks in the spring). Volunteers teach, but guidance is needed.
- Fellowship Engagements – Arranging monthly activities for fellowship or service for older elementary children.
