About Us
About Our Church
Saint Andrews Presbyterian is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA). Thus, we are part of a family of faith that extends across the country and part the network of Christians across the world that rose out of the Reformation. People connected to this congregation come from
many faith backgrounds, but we find unity in our desire to follow the God we know through Jesus Christ.
Saint Andrews was organized in 1977 as a way to reach out to people moving into the forest and fields of North Raleigh. As a result, patterns of welcome are part of this congregation’s spiritual DNA. We seek to welcome all who desire to worship God with us. People of every age, race,
nationality, gender, ability, sexual orientation and economic circumstance participate fully in the life of this church. We seek to honor that diversity and celebrate the unity God gives us in Christ.
Over the years, North Raleigh has grown and our church has grown with it. Ministries developed to help us strengthen our faith, connect us to each other and care for the hurting. And as Raleigh faced new challenges related to poverty or homelessness, this congregation tried
to respond. Thus, Saint Andrews has a long history of being deeply involved in mission, both locally and abroad.
Each week, on Sunday mornings, we gather for worship. In doing so, we connect to God and each other, binding old members with new members, joining the ones who worship on-site with the ones who worship on-line, and uniting those with deep faith with those on the fringe of faith. Together, we are “passionate disciples, ministering in a changing world together.”
